Meet the Team
We choose to employ staff who hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare in order to maintain exceptional learning experiences for every child. We also have a number of staff who hold full and relevant Level 6, Qualified Teacher Status and Masters degrees. Our exceptional team are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about early years education and have a thorough understanding of how young children learn and develop. A commitment to personal development is fundamental to our team culture and we support our educators to pursue further studies and degrees. We believe this ensures the best environment for your child to thrive in and meet their full potential.
Jayne
Nursery Manager
SENCO
Jayne is a qualified teacher with over 10 years experience. In 2020, Jayne took over as a Director of Carol Jane bringing her quality of care and teaching experience with her. She is passionate about early childhood development, and delivering quality education, and believes that children flourish in environments where they feel safe and loved. She loves singing and storytelling and believes the development of early language is at the heart of everything. For her, the opportunity to work in partnership with families to achieve the best for their children is the highlight of her job.

Louis
Director
Louis brings with him a wealth of business experience having spent 15 years managing the operational side of his family's clothing business and he is excited to be working in the education sector. He has brought a new lease of life to the nursery and has implemented and updated many of the nursery's back-of-house systems, He is also our on-site Health and Safety Officer. His responsibilities include making sure that the nursery is as safe as possible and he is known to the children as the ‘go to’ person when something needs fixing; they can often be heard saying, “Don't worry, Louis will fix it!”
Jane
Deputy Manager
After passing her full-time two-year course at Amersham College in 1982, Jane built up a variety of experience as a private nanny, registered child minder and working as a learning support assistant at Capel Manor Primary School. She then returned to study in 2010/11 to gain a Level 4 Qualification in Early Childhood Studies. She is passionate about ensuring all children are given the opportunities to reach their full potential, through personalised learning experiences, and feels privileged to be a part of the children’s learning journeys.
Perry
Nursery Nurse
Perry joined us in January 2016 having previously worked at another nursery and as a private nanny. Since being at Carol Jane, Perry has completed a Bachelor of Honours Degree in Early Years Education. Perry is committed to delivering outstanding care for all our children. and providing them with lots of rich experiences that meet their individual needs. She is also passionate about teaching the children in her care the importance of celebrating and appreciating different cultures and ways of life.

Karen
Nursery Nurse
Karen originally qualified as a childcare professional in 1986, passing her NNEB and working in a private nursery before moving to Canada to work as a Nanny in Vancouver. She returned home to start her own family and soon after, set up a very successful child minding business. Always keen to further enhance her knowledge, Karen completed an NVQ3 in Childcare & Education in 2008. Karen creates a warm and nurturing environment for the children in her care and loves helping the children's confidence grow and seeing them thrive.
Ashley
Nursery Nurse
Ashley, who joined us in 2020, has been working with children since 2014 and brings a range of experience and knowledge to the setting. She has experience of working with children across the early years age range and is a natural at building strong relationships with children and parents. Ashley is very bubbly and is always getting the children up off their feet, exercising and having fun. She loves seeing children develop their own personalities and feels proud to be a part of helping them grow.
Susie
Nursery Nurse
Susie adores ‘little people’!
Susie is a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner with over 25 years of experience working with young children. Additionally, She is a fully qualified Children's Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher for children aged 2-12 years. She loves nature and her particular passion is supporting young children using a therapeutic approach to ensure their physical and mental well being needs are fully met at all times.
Initially, Susie facilitated weekly Yoga sessions for our nursery children and loved so much she decided to join us as a part time Key Worker.
Carol
Forest School Leader
Carol, the original founder of Carol Jane Nursery, has a vast amount of experience in early years, beginning her childcare career in 1991 and completing her Masters Degree in 2015. Since retiring from her role as Managing Director of the nursery, Carol is now our Forest School Leader and is often seen around the nursery with her lovely dog Ellie. She is passionate about the natural environment and creates truly magical experiences for the children in her Forest School sessions.
Susan
Nursery Nurse
Susan joined us in 2021, bringing with her over 30 years of experience working in a well-established nursery in North London. She strives to create a happy environment for children and colleagues where everyone feels welcome and cared for. Susan is the queen of imaginative play and loves to encourage the children to express their creativity and explore their imagination. She finds joy in the knowledge that she’s having an impact on the children’s earliest memories as well as their development.
Tijen
Nursery Nurse - Part Time
Tijen joined us in 2011 with 2 years experience in a previous nursery. Her kind and caring nature is much loved by both our children and their parents. Tijen enjoys helping children learn through different experiences; building their confidence, self-esteem and knowledge; and nurturing their creative ability. She is passionate about building resilience in children and giving them the tools they need to support their own well-being. For her, nothing beats watching a child grow throughout their time at nursery.
Zeynep
Nursery Nurse - Part Time
Zeynep joined us in 2010, after working with children at George Spicer School in Enfield. She has two children of her own and speaks fluent Turkish. Zeynep loves helping children explore the world around them, igniting their curiosity and watching their eyes light up when they discover something new. For her, helping to mould the next generation is invaluable. She loves how no two days are ever the same when working with children and how they can always make her smile.
Karen
Nursery Nurse & Forest School Leader - Part Time
Karen has been at Carol Jane since 1992, leaving in 2005 to start her own family and returning after having her 3 girls. She loves providing a warm and caring environment for the children to thrive in. For Karen, being able to help shape the children’s future is extremely rewarding. She loves organising artistic activities for the children inspired by nature, helping them to appreciate the world around them. She makes beautiful resources to support the children's learning; we are very lucky indeed!
